Mimir TKL Keyboard – Custom Mechanical Keyboard Design

Inspiration:

• Norse Mythology – The Giant Mimir
• Represents: wisdom, knowledge, and mystery
• Symbols: Yggdrasil (the World Tree), severed head

Goals:

• Collaborate with Graystudio Potter to develop an aesthetically pleasing design based on user needs

• Work with designers to produce high-quality renderings

• Create prototypes, conduct user testing, and propose improvement plans

Role:

• Product Design:
  Identified user needs, developed product concepts, and planned the full design and manufacturing process.

• The side of the keyboard features a partially exposed red copper mid-frame, paired with a chamfered top case to visually represent Mimir’s eye.

• The front of the keyboard includes a red copper light bar, enhanced with integrated lighting to improve visual identity and provide additional functional value for the user.

• The back of the keyboard reveals the internal weight and features engraved recessed detailing to enhance the overall design aesthetics.
